Livingston Parish Assessor’s Office Spreads the Word About New Veteran Exemptions in 2023
Livingston Parish Assessor, Jeff Taylor, and members of his staff, were on hand at the 12th Annual Bird & Sausage Gumbo Cook-Off. They were in attendance to spread the word to veterans about new exemptions the voters passed in the last election. The new exemption law took effect January 1, 2023 and extended benefits to veterans with a service related disability of 50% or more.
